Glitter. Always glitter. ✨

Hi Reader!

I spent the first 16 days of June adding a bit of whimsy into everyday life.

  • Googly eyes. Check.
  • Paper chains. Check.
  • Glitter. Check.
  • Kiddie pool. Check.

It was super fun! Plus, I documented it all on my Instagram, if you want to get caught up.

And what did I learn from this challenge?

  1. Life feels more light and joyful when you embrace little bits of childhood!
  2. It is very possible to add a little whimsy to each day -- even busy work days.
  3. With intention, 5 minutes of sticking googly eyes on random stuff can provide an outsized amount of joy.
  4. Glitter. Always glitter.

Hi Reader! I've been learning the difference between: Life feels full and fulfilling Life feels busy and exhausting There's been a lot happening in my life lately. Good thing. Fulfilling things. Things that make almost every night of the week booked up for me. As an extreme introvert, it's an adjustment. And I'm tired. But I think there's a nuance to tiredness -- or at least to how we experience tiredness. When I'm tired from things that feel worth my energy and fulfilling, I still need a nap...

Hi Reader! Have you ever noticed that we kind of think of spring as the transition to summer and fall as the transition to winter? It’s like summer and winter are destinations, and spring and fall are just transitions. But I freaking LOVE spring. The warm sun on your face. Everything turning green and starting to bloom. Spring is energy and joy and playfulness all in one lovely season. It’s not just a transition to summer. It stands alone with endless opportunities to savor the season. So,...
